My Blogging Workflow

Howdy, here’s a quick post on how my blog workflow works. My blogflow is simple enough to do straight from my cellular telephone. I want publishing a blog post to be as simple as posting a micropost directly in social media.

1. Open Pika (web app)
2. Click or tap “Write post”
3. Type words
4. If not done, click or tap “Save as draft” and edit/polish later
5. Click or tap “Publish post”
6. Copy post link to social media, add blurb and tag(s), publish it
7. Copy/paste published post from Pika to Obsidian as local archive

I have used other text/word apps in my blogflow before but am keeping things as simple as possible lately. Sometimes I copy/paste my Pika draft into Apple Notes while writing as a “just in case” backup and keep writing in Pika.

I don’t use grammar or spell checkers, just the native spell check in iOS or macOS. I don’t use AI. I rarely add images to posts. The most technical part is probably adding links. I think YouTube links auto-embed on Pika, which is cool.
