A Fun Flip Phone You Can Afford

At Android Central, Jerry Hildenbrand recently wrote about Samsung ceding the flip-phone market to good competitors like Motorola. Why? Because Motorola knows how to make good phones for less money. Or like MKBHD has said, cheap phones got good; good phones got cheap.

Hildenbrand wants an affordable flip phone:

“I'll bet I end up buying a Motorola Razr because it's 100% as cool and costs less money than Samsung's flip phone…”

“The Razr 2024 is already a shockingly affordable phone…”

I echo this.

The 2023 Razr has been on sale at Amazon for an astonishingly low $350. My 2024 Razr was on sale at Amazon for several weeks at a remarkably low price of $450 new, not refurbished. Higher sale prices for it have also been very good. And with its Spritz Orange colorway, it’s as cool to look at as it’s fun to use.

The 2024 Razr, which is basically a repackaged 2023 Razr+, is fantastic and has reawakened my Apple-addled brain to the affordability and capability of an Android smartphone, especially one that flips. But if you prefer flat and spending even less money, check out the Moto G phones.

I flipped from the iPhone to the Moto Razr. You can too.
