After using my new Razr for over six weeks, it’s still the most awesome colorway ever. When I first saw the 2024 Moto Razr, I was smitten by its eye-catching orange design. In a previous post I said,
“The new Motorola Razr Flip in a beautiful Spritz Orange color is also tempting. If I were not entrenched in the Apple ecosystem, I would likely buy it. I miss fun colorful phones! That orange Razr has personality and pizzazz.”
Then I begged,
“And please Apple, make an orange colored iPhone. Not a “We saved money on pigment” orange. I mean a “We spared no expense” orange. Be bold. Don’t think different; think ORANGE!”
Folks, the Razr is The Boldest Orange Phone Ever. I flippin’ love it. It’s orange style, in part, helped un-entrench me from the Apple ecosystem.
The Razr’s appearance and aesthetic are striking (yes, that’s subjective). To my eyes, it is the most gorgeous orange phone I’ve ever seen. It’s my favorite color. This alone makes it stunningly attractive. Motorola calls it, “Spritz Orange.” Words that come to my mind are, “zest,” “vibrant,” “pizzazz,” “energizing,” “invigorating,” and “enthusias-tech.” After several weeks, the Razr still mesmerizes my eyes.
This is not a boring phone.
This is also not my first Moto featuring orange. About a decade ago, I customized the original Moto X with orange metallic accents. I still have it today; there’s none other quite like it.

The compact closed size is comfortable to hold and easy to palm. I can readily use the buttons while thumbing the cover display. It’s more hand-holdable and pocket-able than my previous iPhone 12 mini. You know that small chest pocket on your buttoned-shirt? The compact Razr fits there perfectly. It’s nice.
This beautifully orange gadget, unlike my previous phones, will not be
handed down to someone else or traded in. When it stops working, I plan to
keep it like a piece of art. Note how it pairs well with the orange Sony ULT Field 1.
And yes, I’ve totally gone caseless.
