It's been over a week since I last posted. I've been super laser focused lately, building a new room onto our house, even taking time off work. I last mentioned it when I finished the framing. Now the exterior is almost complete! That's a gigantic milestone I've been pushing for. With that and the interior finishing around the corner, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This DIY project will finally be done before long. I can't wait.
Progress has accelerated lately since I got, somehow, a "fire lit up under me." After losing a weekend or two due to bad weather, I became adamant: no more delays. I have been taking every spare moment I can and strategizing tasks so that I make some progress every single day of the week if possible. No excuses. No exceptions. Today, I'm tired and sore. But I'll do what I can.
I've had to fight the wind a lot because in my region, Spring is more blustery than usual. It's challenging and frustrating. But I won't accept defeat. I have taken risks, installing metal roof panels in the wind. Thankfully, it all worked out.
Exterior siding is now going up. Soon I will be able to focus on the interior. Overall, I'm pleased with how well it's all coming together.
Here are a few progress photos:
